- 2 cups short-grain sushi rice cooked
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lb cooked or fresh salmon flaked
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sriracha optional, for spice
- 1/4 cup cream cheese softened
- 2 green onions chopped
- Nori sheets for serving
- Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Prepare the Sushi Rice:
Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions.
While warm, mix in rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let cool slightly.
Make the Salmon Topping:
In a bowl, mix flaked salmon with mayonnaise, soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha (if using), and cream cheese.
Assemble & Bake:
Spread the sushi rice in a baking dish.
Top with the salmon mixture, spreading evenly.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve with nori sheets.
