  • 4 cups Fresh Strawberries, hulled and mashed
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 packet Pectin (optional) Use if a thicker consistency is desired

For Strawberry Puree

  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries, hulled
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (optional) Add for a zesty kick
  • 1-2 tbsp Sugar (optional) Adjust based on strawberry sweetness

Making Strawberry Jam

  • Wash, hull, and mash the strawberries.
  • Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a pot.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add pectin (if using) and bring mixture to a boil for 1–2 minutes.
  • Simmer until the jam reaches a thick, spreadable consistency (about 10–15 minutes).
  • Pour into sterilized jars, seal, and let cool.

Making Strawberry Puree

  • Wash and hull the strawberries, removing any green tops.
  • Place strawberries in a blender or food processor.
  • Add lemon juice and sugar if desired, and blend until smooth.
  • Taste the puree and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
  • Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

Strawberry puree is great for drizzling, blending, and in smoothies. Jam is ideal for spreading or baking. For strawberry jam, check the consistency by placing a small amount on a chilled plate before storing.
