Magic Rainbow Ice

Ingredients
  

For the colorful ice

  • 4 cups Water Use filtered water for best results.
  • 1 bottle Food coloring (various colors) Choose safe, non-toxic food coloring.
  • 1 set Ice cube trays or silicone molds Opt for fun shapes to make colorful ice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials on a flat surface.

Mixing Colors

  • In a mixing bowl, add water and a few drops of your chosen food coloring. Stir until combined.

Filling the Trays

  • Pour the colored water into the ice cube trays or silicone molds, filling each about three-quarters full.

Freezing

  • Place the trays in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours or until solid.

Removing the Ice

  • Remove the trays from the freezer. If needed, run warm water over the bottom to help release the ice.

Create a Display

  • Arrange the colorful ice pieces on a tray or container.

Notes

Encourage children to engage in imaginative play with the colorful ice cubes or conduct melting experiments. Store leftover ice cubes in a freezer-safe container.
