Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup dairy-free chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in melted coconut oil, honey, and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a protein boost, add 1-2 tablespoons of protein powder.
  • Store at room temperature for 3 days, in the fridge for 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Swap almond flour with oat or coconut flour for different textures.
