  • 1 pair scissors For cutting the egg carton.
  • 1 set non-toxic acrylic paint or washable markers For coloring the trucks.
  • 1 count paintbrush If using paint.
  • 4 count small round bottle caps or pompoms These will serve as the wheels.
  • 1 count glue (white or hot glue gun) For securing pieces together.
  • 1 set craft supplies (stickers, sequins, or paper scraps) For decorating the trucks.
  • 1 count plastic tray For easier cleanup.

Construction Steps

  • Prepare the Egg Carton: Cut the egg carton in half to create the truck body.
  • Color the Base: Paint the outside of the egg carton in bright colors using non-toxic acrylic paint or washable markers.
  • Create the Dump Bed: Cut a piece of cardboard to fit in the back half of the egg carton to serve as the 'dump bed' and secure it with glue.
  • Add Wheels: Glue the bottle caps or pompoms onto the sides of the egg carton.
  • Decorate: Use craft supplies to add stickers, designs, or other embellishments.
  • Dry & Play: Allow the completed trucks to dry completely before playing.
