  • 1 cup dish soap (clear or colored) Choose clear soap for colorful twists.
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch Adjust as needed to achieve desired texture.
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil Adds softness to the slime.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of dish soap. If using clear soap, you can add food coloring at this stage for a colorful twist.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and mix well.
  • Gradually stir in 1/2 cup of cornstarch. Mix gently to prevent any spills.
  • Continue to mix until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture reaches a thick, gooey consistency.
  • If the slime is too sticky, you can add more cornstarch, one tablespoon at a time, until you achieve your desired texture.
  • Once you’re happy with the slime, let it sit for about 5-10 minutes for the ingredients to fully combine and set.

Notes

Encourage kids to take turns stirring and let them explore the slime through imaginative play. Store in an airtight container and avoid refrigeration.
