  • A Barbie doll wrapped in plastic or food-safe wrap

Instructions
 

  • 1️⃣ Bake the Cake
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan (or multiple layers for stacking).
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  • Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk, mixing until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely before moving to the next step.
  • 2️⃣ Prepare the Cake Structure
  • If using multiple layers, stack and trim the cakes to create a dome shape. Use a serrated knife to level the tops.
  • Carve a hole in the center large enough to fit the Barbie doll.
  • 3️⃣ Insert the Barbie and Apply the Crumb Coat
  • Wrap the Barbie doll’s lower half in plastic wrap. Carefully place her into the hole.
  • Apply a thin layer of buttercream over the cake as a crumb coat. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
